My name is Jane Rackham and I have a Massage and Scar Therapy Clinic in Innsworth Gloucester. I have been running my business since 2003 and am a registered member of the FHT (International Council of Health, Fitness & Sports Therapists).

My therapy treatments include Sports Massage and a powerful myofascial release using the Rossiter System method.  I am privileged to say I am an advanced level 4 Rossiter coach and only 1 of 9 in the UK. I now specialise in Scar Therapy and Oncology Massage.

I also work closely with a network of other specialists including sports physiotherapy, injury specialist thus ensuring that following assessment you are, if necessary referred onto the most appropriate therapist to help you with your problem.

I have been working in the health and fitness industry for over 25 years. I am a qualified fitness and gym instructor and during lockdown was still teaching a couple of classes online.

I am an endurance triathlete, completing my first full Ironman in Regensburg, Germany in 2010. So I know what it takes to keep the body (and mind) in good condition to optimise performance, whilst placing it under the significant stresses and strains of training in three very different disciplines. In 2014 both my husband and I trained for Ironman Barcelona in the October. Another unforgettable day and then 5 days to see the sights and relax.

My aim for  2015 was to compete in an event called the Forces March. It’s running 5 ultra marathons in 5 days. Bonkers I know but I had an amazing friend to train and race with. Anne-Marie Willicott is a seasoned marathon runner who I became friends with through the Almost Athletes running club in Cheltenham a few years before we ran together. It’s a big challenge but we both thought we couldn’t let it happen with out us. The charity we raised money for is the Veterans Charity. A fitting tribute to that 100yr remembrance since the 1st World War.

Unfortunately due to a foot injury which had kept me out for almost 9 months I returned to the Forces March the following year to support on the last day. I just couldn’t keep away. The people I met that week were all inspirational.Since then my dear friend Anne‐Marie has passed away so in May 2020 I walked the Forces March virtually #135challenge in memory of her. Now my husband and I will take on the. Mighty Forces March 26-30th April 2023.

After a family bereavement in 2017 and an illness that would stop me in my tracks for several months in 2018 I decided my comeback would be to complete the mighty Brecon Titan a middle distance triathlon.  Training was tough and the race itself against extreme weather would test me greatly to but I came to conquer and that I did. An amazing experience especially satisfying after my illness.
2019 has given me time to reflect on how I move forward and so through my own breast cancer journey I completed an Oncology course in March 2019 and although the pandemic has interrupted my training I have now managed to complete a ScarWork course with Emma Holly Uk trainer in March and September of 2020. Specialising this this wonderful therapy has given me a purpose and my mission is to keep spreading the word through talks about Scar Therapy to different groups.

Where to find me?
