My name is Jane Rackham and I have a sports / remedial massage therapy clinic in Cheltenham and Gloucester. I have been running this since 2003 and am a registered member of the FHT (International Council of Health, Fitness & Sports Therapists).

As well as sports / remedial massage I specialise in myofascial release using the Rossiter System method.  I am privileged to say I am an advanced level 4 Rossiter coach and only 1 of 9 in the UK.

I also work closely with a network of other specialists in physiotherapy, osteopathy, accupuncture and thai massage, thus ensuring that following assessment you are, if necessary referred onto the most appropriate therapist to help you with your problem.

I have been working in the health and fitness industry for around 17 years. I am a qualified fitness and gym instructor and still teach a couple of classes now.

More recently I embarked on a new treatment called the Rossiter System a powerful myofascial (connective tissue) stretching treatment. Since October 2011 I have trained each year to achieve the highest training I can get here in the UK . This last course in February 2016 now sees me as an advanced level 4  Rossiter coach.

I am an endurance triathlete, completing my first full Ironman in Regensburg, Germany in 2010. So I know what it takes to keep the body (and mind) in good condition to optimise performance, whilst placing it under the significant stresses and strains of training in three very different disciplines. In 2014 both my husband and I trained for Ironman Barcelona in the October. Another unforgettable day and then 5 days to see the sights and relax.

My aim for  2015 was to compete in an event called the Forces March. It’s running 5 ultra marathons in 5 days. Bonkers I know but I had an amazing friend to train and race with. Anne-Marie Willicott is a seasoned marathon runner who I became friends with through the Almost Athletes running club in Cheltenham a few years ago. It’s a big challenge but we both thought we couldn’t let it happen with out us. The charity we raised money for is the Veterans Charity. A fitting tribute to this 100yr remembrance since the 1st World War.

Unfortunately due to a foot injury which has kept me out for almost 9 months I returned to the Forces March this year to support on the last day. I just couldn’t keep away. The people I met that week were all inspirational.

While I’m always striving to find my next challenge but since my injury I’ve had to put training a racing to one side and spend quality time with my family which has been hugely rewarding. The rest of the year will comprise of strength training, something that does get neglected. I will come back stronger.
